Welcome to Akara! Hopefully I'll see you in game! Haha, as long as I can find the place where most players are. So far, I am stuck in the dwarf town, for obvious reasons.. Oh, and also, I will have another character, which will be represented as Edward's cousin. He will have a very special and uncommon role : a farmer/cook! I am just feeling like doing it for fun, as I am not a big fan of macro programs and massive PKing..

Edward, you can be my farmer/cook? lol - well work something out Haha, my farmer character is named Åsmund. However, there is no script into the newbie town to program cooking, fishing and camping properly. The best compromise I have found is the Ranger class, which sets animal taming and animal lore higher. So if I can tame my beasts, it will be easier to make meat. For the rest, I will see when I have the money if the GMs can set up a farmstead, next to Edward's blacksmith shop (still gathering money and ingots for that..). Lots of work in perspective!

Sounds like you have it all figured! Haha, somewhat. I might have to restart Åsmund because the skills he needs are so low, it would take a very long time to make it grow. I don't know if by any chance the admins could help with this, but it would be greatly appreciated.

I have noticed that a lot of characters have already massive exceptionnal platinum armors, which leads me to question the use of crafters on this shard. Is everyone already a GM into all their skills? If there is no need for crafters, I don't see how useful my characters would be.

Theres a 2000 skill cap, but you can buy 200 in skills. The armor you have seen is generally crafted by a 200 skill blacksmith with a runic hammer that you have to donate for. There are also things called monster contracts that can add stats to armor and weapons. They also level and you can add stats that way too!
